shadow as a prop

This jewelry photography lighting setup was so much fun. As soon as I saw the beautiful shadow the jewelry piece casted, I knew I had to run with it. We played around with adding a prop or two then realized the shadows itself was enough to complete the photography composition.


Editorial, or contextual jewelry photography is quit the challenge as you have to be creative but also very technical. The below image was composed of multiple, focus stacked images in order to create one, completely in focus image.
